זה המחזור מקרא שלם נכתב ונגמר בנקודות ובמוסרות ומוגה יפה במדינה מצרים׃ ונשלם בחדש סיון שלשנת ארבעת אלפים ושבע מאות ושבעים שנה לבריאת עולם והיא שנת אלף וארבע מאות וארבעים וארבעה לגלות המלך יהויכין והיא שנת [אלף] ושלוש מאות ותשע עשרה שנה למלכות יונים שהיא למנין [שטרות] ולפסיקת הנבואה והיא שנת תשע מאות וארבעים לחרבן בית שני והיא שנת שלוש מאות ותשעים ותשע למלכות קרן זעיראה׃

English Translation:

This codex of the complete Scriptures was written and finished, with pointings and Masora, and carefully corrected in the metropolis of Egypt [Cairo]. And it was completed in the month of Siwan of the year 4770 of the creation of the world [1010 C.E.]. And this is the year 1444 of the exile of King Jehoiachin [uncertain reckoning]. And this is the year [1]319 of the kingship of the Greeks, that is, of the system of counting [of the contracts] and of the cessation of the prophecy [referring to the Seleucid era, 1008 C.E.]. And this is the year 940 after the destruction of the Second Temple [1009 C.E.]. And this is the year 399 of the kingship of the small horn [cf. Daniel 7:8, understood as referring to the Muslim era, 1008 C.E.].
